Al Ansaar Foundation Making an Impact: A Ramadan of Giving

During the holy month of Ramadaan, the Al Ansaar Foundation has once again stepped up to serve those in need within our community and underserved areas. This holy month is not just about fasting and prayer but also about giving back and helping those less fortunate. The Foundation’s efforts this Ramadan have truly exemplified the essence of this month.

Throughout the month, the Foundation has tirelessly worked to provide aid to deserving individuals and families across various areas. In total, over 22,000 hot meals were distributed to communities in places such as Malagazi, Stanger, Tongaat, Folweni, Chatsworth, Verulam, and surrounding areas in Durban. These meals not only provided nourishment but also brought a sense of comfort and relief to those facing hardships.

In addition to hot meals, the Foundation distributed 2,336 hampers to deserving families. These hampers contained essential items to help alleviate some of the burdens faced by these households. From food staples to hygiene products, these hampers provided much-needed support during a time of need.

Recognizing the importance of access to clean water, especially during Ramadan, the Foundation also distributed 7,684 bottles of water to mosques, jamaat khanas, and areas experiencing water shortages. This initiative ensured that individuals had clean water at iftaar.

Moreover, 5,826 loaves of bread were distributed, complementing the meals provided and ensuring that individuals had access to a staple food item. Additionally, the

Foundation distributed 200 blankets to help keep families warm during the colder nights.

But the generosity didn’t stop there. The Foundation went above and beyond by distributing 1,500 packets of chips and boxes of clothing to those in need. These items may seem small, but they can make a significant difference in the lives of individuals and families facing adversity.

Furthermore, the Foundation provided wheelchairs to those with mobility issues, enabling them to move around more comfortably and independently.

Overall, the Al Ansaar Foundation’s efforts during the blessed month of Ramadan have made a profound impact on the lives of countless individuals and families. Their dedication to serving others and spreading kindness serves as an inspiration to us all. As we reflect on the true meaning of Ramadan, let us continue to support initiatives like these and strive to make a positive difference in the world around us.
