United States President Donald J. Trump insisted that Iran’s nuclear program had been obliterated despite having acknowledged the early intelligence report was ‘very inconclusive’. The president lashed out at the leaked intelligence report that suggested the US airstrikes did not destroy the nuclear program in Iran. This preliminary intelligence assessment has stated to have found that the US military strikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities over the weekend did not destroy the country’s nuclear energy program, as the president claimed, and only set it back a number of months. Trump is notorious for freely expressing his opinions unabashedly. But in a press release by the American news media, he openly swore.
Earlier Trump claimed he “stopped the war” as a fragile ceasefire between Israel and Iran appeared to hold. “It was my great honor to Destroy All Nuclear facilities & capability, and then, STOP THE WAR!” he said. A furious Trump earlier accused both the Iranian and Israeli militaries of violating the ceasefire just hours after it came into effect. “They don’t know what the f*** they’re doing,” the US president said of both countries. US military strikes on three of Iran’s nuclear facilities over the weekend did not destroy the country’s nuclear program and only set back Tehran’s program by only a matter of months, a preliminary US intelligence assessment suggests. Analysts said that, if the assessment was based on satellite imagery, the extent of damage to the deeply buried Fordow uranium enrichment facility would not necessarily be revealed.
Trump may have been enraged by the bitter resentment over how the war transpired between the Israeli regime and the Iranians. Both sides managed to launch heavy airstrikes against each other. However Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu’s “Operation Rising Lion” may not have been the enormous success both Washington and Tel Aviv claim it to be. In the end both sides managed to inflict heavy losses on each other. The result was that the war ended in a draw when the truce was declared. The Americans at the time chose to team up with Israel against the Iranian regime when they felt their naval bases in the Persian Gulf were threatened. However, the fact that Iran’s main nuclear facilities like Fordow uranium enrichment facility are build into the deepest regions of the Earth means it could not be exposed to US fire power.
Meanwhile Israel continues its infiltration of Gaza, at risk to its own soldiers.
Seven Israeli soldiers were killed Tuesday in the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis when their armored vehicle was struck by an explosive, an Israeli military official said Wednesday. The announcement comes a day after witnesses and hospitals in Gaza said Israeli forces and drones opened fire toward hundreds of Palestinians waiting for aid in separate incidents in southern and central Gaza early Tuesday, killing at least 44. The military said another soldier was badly wounded Tuesday from RPG fire. The incident was an unusually deadly one for Israel’s troops operating inside Gaza. The military says over 860 soldiers have been killed since the war began with the Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas attack — including more than 400 during fighting inside Gaza.
The Israelis seem to have found themselves down on bitter luck. Seven soldiers of the Israeli Defence Force (IDF) lost their lives due to the overconfidence and ego of their chain of command and superiors. Israel has been on the verge of creating more enemies with each bullet they fire, each missile they launch and it has led to their vulnerabilities and insecurities being exposed. The resentment is building up and the frustration of the Palestinians is being expressed in the harshest ways possible to the IDF. If the IDF and the Netanyahu coalition does not pull out from the enclave they may at some point face the impatience of the Israeli public no longer willing to be placed in an endless gridlock of death for Gaza.
It is certain that Iran will pursue its nuclear technology program regardless of what Washington and Tel Aviv demand. The Iranian regime may now more than ever feel embolden to pursue the development of its own nuclear arsenal including bombs. The Palestinians including Hamas for their part may have proven they can even the odds a bit against the Zionist regime.
