Topic: Creative Kebabs
Recipe of the week: Lemon butter kebabs
INGREDIENTS:
– 1kg chicken Mince, washed & drained
– 1-2 tblsp ground green ginger/garlic masala
– salt to taste
– 1 tsp ground coriander powder
– 1 tsp ground black pepper
– 1 tsp ground cumin powder
– 2 medium sized onions, chopped
– 1 large egg, beaten
– 4 slices of bread, processed into breadcrumbs
– handful of chopped coriander
INGREDIENTS FOR LEMON BUTTER SAUCE:
-100g butter
-half cup cooking cream, beaten
quarter cup mayonnaise/salad cream
-3 tblsp lemon juice
-1 tsp lemon pepper
-1 tsp Aromat
METHOD: Kebabs
1.Combine all the ingredients together.
2.Dip hands into white vinegar then form mince mixture into kebabs or lollies
3.Shallow fry in oil over medium heat on both sides or cook in a preheated oven, (180 degrees Celsius) until cooked on both sides.
4.Serve with lemon butter sauce.
METHOD: Lemon butter sauce
1.Melt butter over medium heat in a small pot.
2.Add remaining ingredients except the cream & stir.
3.Now add the cream & bring to boil.
4.Pour over the kebabs or serve separately.
