Brownies
INGREDIENTS:
-Half cup unsalted butter
-1 cup white sugar
-2 large eggs
-1 tsp vanilla essence
-Half cup white flour
-One third cup cocoa powder
-Quarter tsp salt
-Quarter tsp baking powder

Optional:
-Handful of chopped pecans
-Handful of chocolate chips
Use either or both

METHOD:
1.Preheat oven to 180°Celsius.
2.Melt the butter & sugar in a medium-sized pot.
3.Remove from heat & leave to cool for a few minutes.
4.In the pot, add eggs one at a time & stir after each addition.
5.Now add the vanilla essence and stir.
6.In a seperate bowl, sift together the dry ingredients:flour, salt, baking powder & cocoa.
7.Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture & mix to form a smooth batter.
8.Pour the batter into a greased square or rectangular baking pan or a mini square/rectangular baking pan then spread evenly.
9.Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the cake tester comes out clean.
10.Leave to cool for 15 minutes in the pan before placing on a wire rack to cool completely.
11.When cool cut into squares or rectangles then drizzle with chocolate sauce or serve with ice cream, whipped cream & drizzle with chocolate sauce and ENJOY!
