Recipe of the week: Phirni

INGREDIENTS:
-1 litre milk
-2 tblsp Taystee Wheat
-2 tsp Maizena
-2 large eggs
-1¹/² tsp cardomom powder
-1 tblsp rose water
-1 tin condensed milk
-1 tin Nestlé cream, beaten

Garnish: Cardomom powder, pistachio slivers, dried rose petals or raisins & sliced almonds

METHOD:
1.In a medium-sized pot, add the eggs and beat well.
2.Now add the Taystee Wheat & Maizena then whisk until well combined.
3.Next, add the condensed milk and beat until creamy.
4.Pour the milk into the pot, whisk again then place the pot on the stove and bring to a boil over medium heat while stirring occasionally.
5.Add the beaten cream, rose water and cardomom powder to the mixture and beat until creamy.
6.Bring to a boil then remove from the heat and leave the pot to cool.
7.Pour the cooled phirni into a large, pretty bowl or into small dessert bowls.
8.Garnish then refrigerate until chilled.
