Paratha Burger
Flaky Paratha Recipe
Ingredients:
-2 cups all-purpose flour
-1/2 cup + 2 tbsp warm water
-2 tbsp oil or melted ghee
-1 tsp salt
METHOD:
1.Make the Dough: Mix flour, salt, and oil. Gradually add warm water to form a soft dough. Knead for 2-3 minutes.
2.Rest the Dough: Let the dough rest for 20-30 minutes.
3.Divide and Roll: Divide into 8-10 portions. Roll each into a thin circle (about 6-7 inches).
4.Layer and Fold: Brush with ghee or oil, fold into half, and brush again. Fold into a triangle or roll into a cylinder.
5.Roll Out: Gently roll out to about 7-8 inches.
6.Cook: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook paratha for 30-60 seconds per side, until golden brown spots appear. Brush with ghee.
To make the burger:
-Add filling of your choice eg, saucy chicken or steak strips, fried or grilled patties between 2 parathas.
-Add lettuce, cucumbers, gherkins and sauces.
